My goal is to see regulation changes on the lower Boise River that better protect its wild Rainbow and Brown trout. The longevity and reproduction of these fish have proven that existing spawning habitat is adequate. Requiring anglers to use single, barbless hooks and practice catch-and-release are the best ways to improve the fishery and provide higher numbers of large, wild trout. Friday, October 19, 2012. Monday, May 25, 2015. This stream still was high and off color from runoff, so we decided to head down to Warm river and continue chucking streamers. We had so,so results and landed a few smaller trout. Just prior to calling it quits, I landed a beautiful brown. Not the biggest, but definitely a good fish for warm river also.
